June 27th, 2008 · Posted by Toor · 1 Comment

Vagalume is my favorite Last.fm client. Vagalume is based on GTK+. It supports GNOME and Maemo platform. If you’re looking for cool Last.fm client, I recommend you try out Vagalume.

Vagalume has the following features (from website):

  • It plays Last.fm radio streams
  • Support for different radio stations (personal, neighbours, loved tracks, …, or any lastfm:// URL)
  • It supports marking tracks as loved or banned
  • It can tag artists, tracks and albums
  • It can send recommendations to other users
  • It can add tracks to your playlist
  • It can download free tracks to your hard disk
  • It scrobbles tracks so they appear in your Last.fm webpage

Installing Vagalume

On Debian/Ubuntu, you can run:

sudo apt-get install vagalume

Or download .deb package from here, then execute in terminal:

sudo dpkg -i vagalume_0.6-*.deb
