Publishr is a quite useful GIMP plugin. With Publishr, you can directly upload images to Flickr and Picasaweb from GIMP. The latest version of Publishr is 0.2. You can download it at here.
Installing Publishr
You only need to drop this plugin to your GIMP plugin directory:
$ tar zxvf publishr-0.2.tar.gz -C ~/.gimp-2.4/plug-ins/
Using Publishr
1. Run GIMP, open image you want to upload.
2. Click File → Publish on Web. This will open the following dialog box.

3. Select Sign into Flickr! or Sign into Picasaweb!.
