Split and Merge PDF Documents with pdfsam

pdfsam is a very simple tool. But it’s quite useful. With pdfsam, you can split and merge PDF documents. pdfsam is open source software. The latest version of pdfsam is 1.0.0 alpha. It includes basic edition and enhanced edition.

How to install and run pdfsam basic

1. Download pdfsam basic from here.

2. Extract the zip file with the following command in your terminal:

$ unzip pdfsam-1.0.0-alpha-out.zip

3. Run pdfsam:

$ cd pdfsam-basic/
$ java -jar pdfsam-1.0.0-alpha.jar

Note: You need Java Virtual Machine 1.4.2 or higher.

    Worked like a dream on my Mac I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a free option for splicing PDFs.
