With Jomic, you can read comic books. It can handle CBZ and CBR archives. In addition, Jomic also supports PNG, JFIF/JPEG, TIFF, and GIF image formats.
The latest version of Jomic is 0.9.27. You can download Jomic installer for Linux from here.
NOTE: You need Java 1.4 (or later) and the unrar command (version 3.50 or later).
To install Jomic, you can run the following command in terminal:
# java -jar Jomic-Installer-0.9.27.jar

Comix is also good, although a little bit more complex than Jomic.
