How To Use CNR Service on Ubuntu

Recently, Linspire, Inc. has released CNR.com beta. The CNR Service provides a free, simple one-click CNR Client that allows you to begin installing software from CNR.com immediately. This HOWTO shows how you can use CNR Service on Ubuntu.

1. Install CNR Client

Download the CNR Client for Ubuntu from here. Save it to ~/Desktop folder. Then run the following commands in your terminal:

$ cd ~/Desktop
$ sudo dpkg -i cnr-client_0.2.3202_i386.deb

If you see error messages, you can execute this command:

$ sudo apt-get -f install

2. Find software

To launch CNR Client, click Applications → System Tools → CNR.

3. Install software

For example, to install Opera, you only need to click Install Now Button.

Open Opera.cnr.
