How to install Savage 2: A Tortured Soul on Linux

This HOWTO shows how you can install Savage 2: A Tortured Soul on Linux.

1. Download Savage 2 from here and save it to ~/Desktop.

2. Open terminal, go to Desktop folder:

cd ~/Desktop

3. Run this command:

chmod +x Savage2Install-1.3.99-i686.bin

4. Installing Savage 2:

sudo ./Savage2Install-1.3.99-i686.bin

This will display the following dialog box.

Savage 2

Click Next.

Savage 2

Select installation folder.

Savage 2

Other installation option.

Savage 2

Installing Savage 2.

Savage 2

Finish.

Now you can run Savage 2 by clicking Applications → Games → Savage 2.

    the games does not launch. What are the hardware requirements?

    You don’t need to install this game with sudo!

    My savage2 does not open :/ only can see 1sec black then nothing happens…. HELP ME PLZ _/

    I read somewhere that you shouldn’t install non-critical applications with sudo. I could be wrong, though, but I think it also said that install things with sudo can sometimes be dangerous (At least if you don’t know exactly what you are doing, like me)
