GNOME 2.23.5 released

Version 2.23.5 of GNOME has been released. This is a development version of GNOME 2.24. According to plan, GNOME 2.24 will release on September 24.

This release includes mostly the following improvements:

  • Nautilus - Add tab support to browser mode and “restore from trash” functionality (only per item).
  • Evolution - Camel DB Summary support, new EPlugin for message templates, and Google Contacts support.
  • Evince - 7-zip compressed commics support, add Alt+Left and Alt+Right shortcuts to rotate, and Media player keys support.
  • Cheese - Allow to choose the webcam using the preference dialog and use ogv as default video extension.
  • File-roller - Added support for reading and extracting alz archives, added support for rzip compressed files, added support for creating self-extracting zip archives, and added ability to create multi-volume archives.
