The first alpha version of Ubuntu 8.10 (codename Intrepid Ibex) has been released. This release includes massive merge from Debian, pre-release version of Linux kernel 2.6.26, GNOME 2.23.4, a new NewHuman theme, Firefox 3.0, GIMP 2.4.6, OpenOffice.org 2.4.1, and so on.
